Philippe Bastien is the heir to a wealthy Paris conglomerate. Accustomed to power, he is unaware that his family wealth depends on a secret society clause: the heir must marry a partner's daughter to preserve their fortune. Ava Dubois, daughter of a wealthy businessman, detests her privileged life and paparazzi attention. She lives low-key, but is shocked when summoned to fulfill a marriage contract.
