On a snowy Thanksgiving night, Rita—a young girl endowed with healing abilities and supernatural powers—stays at her uncle William's home. Using her abilities, she repairs ingredients and prepares a lavish dinner; however, her mischievous cousin Jimmy wreaks havoc, tearing the precious scarf left by Rita's parents. The uncle's family proves utterly ungrateful—not only mistreats Rita but also secretly hires a homeless man to drive her away, intending to sell her. Left with no other choice, Rita is pursued through a narrow alleyway, where she is rescued in a critical moment by her godfather couple, Richard and his wife. Recognizing that their family lacks an heir and feeling deep compassion for the lonely Rita, the couple decides to adopt her. Along the way, Rita activates her supernatural abilities twice to resolve crises, earning the wary attention of her rival, Barbarossa. Upon arriving at the godfather's estate, Rita uses her unique powers to recover the lost belongings of the female owner. When she learns that the godfather's father, Arthur, has been severely injured and is unconscious, Rita intervenes to heal him, reviving the dying old man; thus, she officially becomes a member of the Genovese family, using her own power to protect this new family.

I literally could not stop watching! The cliffhanger at the end of this episode had me holding my breath.

The acting and pacing are top notch for a short drama. That confrontation scene was unforgettable!
