The Outcast's Secret Spring — Episode 13

Amanda's father dies. Her grandmother, Uncle Roberto, and Uncle Ricardo rush to divide the inheritance. They give Amanda and her mother only a ruined house and a dry well, while taking the land, tools, and her mother's dowry. They are left with nothing. Amanda discovers water in the dry well. She plants Chinese mulberries, sells them, and makes products from them. Relatives show up to sabotage her. Amanda fights back, runs the orchard, hires neighbors, and teaches them her techniques. She brings her mother and sister to a prosperous life on the West Slope.
