Harper suffers ruthless abuse from her husband Samuel. Influenced by his scheming assistant Ruby, he deems her an inadequate wife and forces her into the Perfect Wife Training Academy. There, she endures degrading examinations, psychological violence, and sexual abuse—contractually approved by Samuel. Traumatized, Harper submits. When Samuel sees recordings of her torment, he is overcome with guilt, saves her, and sinks into remorse. But Harper is now a hollow shell, having lost her true self and love for the cello. Samuel exposes Ruby as the true mastermind, destroys the academy, jails Ruby, and nurses the severely ill Harper. She never forgives his betrayal and dies in intensive care. Her final question—"Am I finally a perfect wife now?"—will haunt him forever.
