Veronica, a brilliant neurosurgeon, is bound to a system whose mission is to make her unfaithful husband regret destroying her. To complete the task, she hides her talent and plays the role of Leo’s endlessly devoted wife. Over five years, she endures betrayal, false accusations, stolen research, and brutal abuse from Cecilia, who permanently damages her right hand while Leo repeatedly chooses to believe and protect her. After staging her own death, Veronica escapes overseas with Oliver, the one man who truly sees her pain and refuses to abandon her. With extraordinary determination, she trains herself to operate with her left hand and rebuilds her career. Three years later, she returns as an internationally celebrated surgeon, exposes Cecilia’s violence and academic theft, reclaims her reputation, and leaves Leo trapped in lifelong remorse. Yet her greatest victory is not revenge. When the system demands that she disappear again in exchange for wealth and rewards, Veronica rejects its control and tears up the contract. Choosing love, medicine, freedom, and a life defined by her own will, she transforms from a pawn in someone else’s game into the true author of her destiny. At last, she learns that reclaiming herself matters more than winning.

I literally could not stop watching! The cliffhanger at the end of this episode had me holding my breath.

The acting and pacing are top notch for a short drama. That confrontation scene was unforgettable!
