On the very night Reid—a bastard once expelled from a powerful family—bought his ancestral home, he discovered three-year-old Poppy, an orphan girl stranded in a pitch-black kitchen. Abandoned by both her biological father and her uncle, she held only an iron box containing the ashes of her deceased mother. Faced with a traumatized child who dared not eat, nor even sleep in proper clothes and shoes, the cold-hearted CEO mobilized the resources of his entire family to address her anxieties step by step, healing her wounds. When her blood-sucking father turned his back on their fortune—seeking to seize the orphan girl and her remains through public pressure and legal means—Reid countered with irrefutable evidence, dismantling the conspiracy completely. In the end, the girl used her own key to push open the bright front door, completing her legal adoption process amidst love and justice, and embarking on a new life.

I literally could not stop watching! The cliffhanger at the end of this episode had me holding my breath.

The acting and pacing are top notch for a short drama. That confrontation scene was unforgettable!
