Later, Susan is again targeted by her future daughter-in-law Vivian, who treats Susan as a fraud and humiliates her. Susan tries again and again to defend herself, but no one listens. After suffering repeated humiliation, she is finally rescued by Roger. Only then does everyone realize that the humble Susan really is Roger’s mother. But by then, it is too late for regret.
