Dad, I’m Home — Episode 17

Eight-year-old Maya has endured years of brutal abuse at the hands of her foster parents. Then, on a freezing snowy night, they throw her out and leave her to die. Near collapse, she finds a missing-person flyer and calls her birth father, Grant—the man with the star-shaped birthmark on her right arm. Wealthy Grant has spent seven long years searching for his lost daughter. He races to rescue badly injured Maya and reunite her with her mother, Nora. But the cruel foster parents refuse to give up. They forge evidence to fight for custody and cover up child trafficking and abuse. Facing their schemes, brave Maya enters court and testifies about her hellish childhood. With crucial evidence from a kind neighbor, the abusers finally receive the punishment they deserve. At last, Maya gains a loving family, new friends, a long-overdue birthday, and her stolen childhood back.
