My Mechanic Fiancé Is a Billionaire — Episode 17

He was the hired help at his own wedding. Adrian Cole fixes cars at Blue Ember Garage. Five years ago he walked away from his family's fortune — and from Aegis Dynamics, the empire he built from scrap — so the woman he loved would never feel small beside him. It didn't work. Minutes before the ceremony, his fiancée's limousine is hijacked by remote control: brakes dead, doors locked, one name left in the car's memory. Adrian pulls her out with a tow truck. She repays him by telling him to use the service entrance — the investors can't see her standing next to a mechanic covered in grease. Then he reads the name the car was programmed to kill: EVELYN HART. Evelyn runs Hartwell Group. She is three signatures from losing four billion dollars to a company hiding seven fatal crashes — and the only person there who never asked what he did for a living. By midnight: Vanessa's two-year affair is public. Adrian's father names his younger brother as sole heir in front of all of New York. A man with a gun is paid to break his hands. Then Evelyn kneels in the middle of the ballroom, holds up an eighty-million-dollar diamond, and asks him a question nobody expected. He says yes. What follows is a mechanic taking back everything he gave away — one phone call, one signature, one garage at a time. Because the man everyone laughed at is the reason half these companies still exist. He never needed the last name. Everyone else did. 37 episodes.
