Lilas Caf Rent Showdown — Episode 2

Lila has spent years keeping her late grandmother’s cozy neighborhood café running, balancing shifts, caring for her ailing mom, and saving to put her younger sister through college. When a corporate developer buys the building housing the café, they demand a steep rent hike Lila can’t cover. If she can’t find a way to afford the new rate soon, she’ll lose not just the café—her family’s only stable home and a cherished link to her grandma’s legacy—but also her sister’s college plans.
