Mother Never Returns — Episode 2

Young Lin Xiaoya watches her mother, Su Qing, die in a hit-and-run by Zhong Wanqi, who obsesses over Lin Xiaoya’s father, Lin Zhe. Xiaoya screams for help, but Wanqi stops her while faking illness. Forced to live with her enemy, Xiaoya endures setups and misunderstandings. She gathers evidence with her aunt. At Wanqi's birthday party, Xiaoya reveals the truth, forcing Lin Zhe to face reality. A deranged Wanqi kidnaps Xiaoya to the mother’s memorial portrait. Lin Zhe dies taking a knife meant for his daughter; Wanqi dies accidentally. Xiaoya visits her parents' grave, moving forward with pain and growth.
