Outsmarting the Clown Killer — Episode 2

On his birthday, Carter Brooks falls into an infinite time loop, shot by a clown-masked killer in a bathroom stall. Waking up on the couch, Carter assumes it is a dream. He enters the bathroom again, sensing danger, but the killer strikes. On his third reset, Carter realizes he must escape this cycle. As he and Audrey Evans reach a car, a truck crushes them. Waking a fourth time, he investigates everyone. During an argument between Audrey and Brock Thorne, a clown mask falls from Brock's bag. Each reset, Carter gathers clues. During a scuffle, he discovers the killer is a woman working for a mastermind. He uses her phone records to eliminate suspects. Finally, Carter captures the killer. Exploiting an 11 PM office power outage, he knocks her out for interrogation. Colleagues arrive, reacting to her unmasked face. While Carter questions Oscar Wright about shares, the killer breaks free and murders everyone. Furious, Carter beats her but kills himself before midnight to revive his friends. Next reset, he captures her again. A sudden death reveals two killers: one driving the truck, one shooting him. Carter must subdue both to break the cycle. Later, clues point to Brock. During their confrontation, the killer knocks everyone out. Brock reveals he orchestrated everything to seize The Skyborne Project. Nearing midnight, Carter tries to get himself killed, unsure if the loop holds past 12 AM. When Brock refuses, Carter forcibly kisses Audrey, provoking Brock to kill him before the deadline. With Brock and the killers brought to justice, Carter retrieves security footage. He realizes there is another accomplice. A Security Guard smirks, a dagger slipping from his sleeve.
