Kind stranger Merry and fire captain Bob rush Anna to the hospital for emergency surgery. However, the fire truck hits Karen's car as she returns from an affair. Karen forces them to kneel and pay damages. Despite pleas from Merry, medic Eve, and bystanders, Karen refuses to yield, unaware the fire truck is saving her own daughter.
