She can't shift. No fangs. No claws. No wolf. But when Lyra punches through an Alpha blood-sealed door with her bare fist to collect a bounty, every wolf in Silvermoon stops laughing. The job: protect a paralyzed former Alpha who hasn't spoken a word in two years. The pay: 30,000 moonstones a month. The catch: he'd rather rot in a dark cell than let anyone near him. She ties him to a bed. Force-feeds him soup. Carries his wheelchair on her shoulder. And somehow — for the first time in two years — he speaks. Then a moonstone ring glows on her hand. A ring that hasn't lit up in centuries. The wolfless girl the entire pack calls trash? She carries the last bloodline of the Moon Guardian. And the broken king in the wheelchair? He's about to burn down everything he lost — just to keep her alive. Enemies are closing in. His own brother wants them both dead. And the power awakening inside her could either save the pack — or destroy it. She was hired to protect him. But who will protect her from what she's becoming?

I literally could not stop watching! The cliffhanger at the end of this episode had me holding my breath.

The acting and pacing are top notch for a short drama. That confrontation scene was unforgettable!
