Mysterious secret agent Peter Rogers receives the National Medal of Honor from the President and retires from the army. At dinner with his daughter Leslie, Peter is mistaken for an arranged date by beautiful CEO Sydney Greenfield, and the two unexpectedly marry. His former classmates and ex-girlfriend, unaware of Peter's true identity, encounter him and subject him to various insults and mockery. Upon learning this, Sydney publicly reveals Peter is her husband, teaching everyone a lesson in humility.
