Anna Stacy is found and brought home, only to be ignored and neglected by her biological family. Before a major design contest, the Stacys' favored adopted daughter, Karen, falsely accuses Anna of theft and pushes her off a balcony. Anna leaves the family and is taken in by her adoptive brother, Bruce Thomas. The Stacys later discover Karen’s true colors after she nearly kills their mother, Donna.
