Mysterious agent Peter Rogers, awarded the National Medal of Honor by the President, has retired from military service. During dinner with his daughter Leslie, Peter is mistaken for a blind date by beautiful CEO Sydney Greenfield, leading to an unexpected marriage. When his former classmates and ex-girlfriend—ignorant of Peter's true identity—run into him, they subject him to relentless insults and ridicule. Upon finding out, Sydney publicly announces that Peter is her husband, utterly humiliating everyone present.
