The CEO's Wife Returns Home — Episode 5

Lin Shiyin, wife of the Xinyuan Group CEO, lives a happy life but regrets never meeting her biological parents. Upon receiving news of her mother, she returns to the Song family with her daughter, Qi Yu, to reconnect. The Song family sends only a butler to greet them; adopted daughter Song Shuqi and brother Song Luyuan mock Lin as uncouth. Lin appears elegant, shocking them. At the family dinner, Song Shuqi flaunts awards, but is outmatched by Qi Yu's national awards and elite university acceptance. When Song Shuqi mocks Lin's husband as a laborer and suggests divorce, her mother Yu Rong tacitly agrees, breaking Lin's heart. At a later banquet, Song Shuqi frames Qi Yu for theft. To save face, Yu Rong claims Lin is just an adopted daughter, shattering Lin's hopes. When Lin requests security footage, she is denied. Song's husband, Pei Ruibai, attempts to drive them out to appease Xinyuan Group, but at the critical moment, Qi Chengjun arrives.
