Hanna Rhein grew up in a village where only sons were valued. At 18, she fell in love with Jan Lenz and moved to the city after giving birth to their daughter. Despised and bullied by his family, she eventually left the house with her daughter. She met Norbert Scholz, a wounded soldier who protected her. With his help, Hanna learned to read, took up sewing, and founded her own factory. Under her care, Norbert recovered and walked again. From an outcast woman to an independent factory owner, Hanna and Norbert found solace in each other and built a new life together.

I literally could not stop watching! The cliffhanger at the end of this episode had me holding my breath.

The acting and pacing are top notch for a short drama. That confrontation scene was unforgettable!
