Titan Group is closest to success—thanks to chief engineer and world-class hacker Bryan Smith. At the global launch, Ryan activates Titan—but a flaw Bryan warned about causes it to go out of control. The monsters return. Bryan activates Savior, overwhelms Titan, and turns the tide. Sloan realizes she threw away Titan’s greatest asset—and humanity’s real savior. Titan goes bankrupt. Bryan secures a military partnership and gets engaged to Alice.
