In a decaying industrial neighborhood, gruff taco‑vendor Joe witnesses two young sisters suffering cruel neglect at the hands of their drug‑addicted birth parents, who plan to sell the little girls to human traffickers. Using all his savings, he rescues them under a dangerous pretense of being a buyer. Trapped by deep‑rooted trauma, the wary children fear he is another cruel stranger. Joe struggles clumsily to earn their trust, offering warm meals, shelter and quiet protection. Later he teams‑up with police officer Moira to lure and take down the trafficking ring. Facing custody audits, malicious online rumors and public prejudice, this ragtag found family fights hard. They heal past wounds, overcome countless hardships, and finally build a sincere, loving home without blood ties.

I literally could not stop watching! The cliffhanger at the end of this episode had me holding my breath.

The acting and pacing are top notch for a short drama. That confrontation scene was unforgettable!
