War-Torn Elegy — Episode 7

During the warlord era, Commander Holden Vance lost his childhood friend Pearl, seeking her using only the Twin Hearts Pendant and the leaf whistle tune. Later, he is forced to marry Cora Lockwood, the mute Lockwood girl, but treats her coldly. His cousin Clarissa Vance impersonates Pearl to steal his love, repeatedly framing Cora Lockwood with poison and treason. Enduring endless humiliation and a miscarriage, Cora Lockwood is left heartbroken. Ultimately, the truth surfaces: Clarissa Vance conspires with spies to assassinate Holden Vance, yet Cora Lockwood risks her life to save him. Though Holden Vance repents, Cora Lockwood's heart is dead and she only wishes to leave. Amid falling peach blossoms, their tangled feud remains unresolved.
